Sacraments of the Church
Baptism
For the Sacrament of Baptism, contact Deacon Paul.
You will need to fill in two application forms, one for baptism and one for Godparents, and attend an instruction session with one of the clergy. Baptisms usually take place during Sunday Mass, as the Sacrament is an entrance into the wider family of the Church.
Confirmation
For the Sacrament of Confirmation, contact Deacon Paul.
Confirmation classes usually run from January to September each year. Candidates will need to be 13 years old before receiving the Sacrament.
First Holy Communion
For First Holy Communion classes, contact Monica Silva or Fr Andrew.
To register for First Holy Communion classes for the 2026-27 year, please download an application form, fill it in and return it to the church,
Marriage
For the Sacrament of Matrimony, contact Deacon Justin.
Marriages usually need to be planned one year in advance, as there is legal paperwork to be completed both by the Church and by civil authorities.

Funerals (Requiem Mass)
To arrange a funeral at St Mary’s contact Fr Andrew.
Please download our guidance sheet for Requiem Masses. Please do not fix any dates with funeral directors or with family – especially for those travelling long distance – until the clergy have confirmed that the church is available.
